Self-hosted analytics overview

What is Vectr4?

Vectr4 is self-hosted product analytics for founders who want to understand product usage without shipping every event to another analytics platform.

Self-hosted product analytics

Run product analytics inside your own stack

Use Vectr4 to collect events, funnels, sessions, and user journeys from a deployment you control instead of relying on a cloud-only analytics service.

Why not just use PostHog?

Avoid event-volume surprises and vendor tradeoffs

PostHog is powerful, but indie founders can hit pricing, data-policy, or deployment constraints. Vectr4 keeps the analytics footprint smaller and self-hosted.

Analytics for indie hackers and small SaaS teams

Built for small teams that ship fast

Track product behavior, demo usage, signups, checkout paths, and activation journeys without adopting an enterprise analytics suite too early.

Deploy analytics on your own VPS

Use infrastructure you already understand

The V1 package is designed for Docker Compose on a VPS, so your analytics dashboard, event ingestion, and configuration live on your infrastructure.

Keep product data under your control

Control where customer activity data is stored

Vectr4 gives founders a practical way to keep product analytics, customer event data, and usage signals under their own deployment instead of adding another third-party data destination.

Product preview

See what you deploy

A real Vectr4 dashboard running after deployment: events, funnels, sessions, and user paths in one self-hosted workspace.

Vectr4 product dashboard showing activity metrics, events, and session volume

Event tracking

See custom events, activation steps, and top product activity as users move through your app.

Funnel analysis

Measure conversion from visit to demo, signup, checkout, or install.

Session summaries

Review session volume, live activity, and behavior changes over time.

User journeys

Follow paths across docs, demo, pricing, checkout, and dashboard views.

The problem

Product analytics breaks when pricing, data policy, or sales tiers get in the way.

Vectr4 is built for technical founders who want useful product signals without sending every event to another vendor or buying an enterprise analytics suite.

Problem

PostHog gets expensive as events grow.

Consequence

A launch, bot spike, or growth week can turn basic analytics into a budget decision.

Vectr4 solution

Vectr4 runs on your VPS with predictable server costs.

Problem

Cloud analytics tools send customer data to third-party servers.

Consequence

Every event payload becomes another vendor, policy review, and data-processing concern.

Vectr4 solution

Vectr4 keeps event collection and dashboards inside your own deployment.

Problem

Enterprise platforms bundle features small teams rarely need.

Consequence

Founders pay for seats, governance, and sales-led tiers before they need them.

Vectr4 solution

Vectr4 focuses on events, funnels, sessions, and journeys for early teams.

FAQ

Purchase questions before you deploy.

What does the €79 license include?

Your one-time license includes a customized deployment ZIP, a downloadable Vectr4 source-code archive for review, and 12 months of product updates and customer support.

Does Vectr4 keep working after 12 months?

Yes. Your perpetual fallback license keeps the version you have installed running after the first 12 months. When coverage ends, you no longer receive new updates or customer support unless you renew.

How do renewals work?

Renew before or after your included coverage ends for €49. Each renewal adds 12 months of product updates and customer support to your license.

How long does deployment take?

A technical founder or operator can usually deploy Vectr4 on a VPS in minutes once DNS, Docker, and server access are ready.

What server size do I need?

Start with a small VPS for early traffic. Scale CPU, memory, and storage as your event volume grows.

Do I get source code?

Yes. License holders can download the Vectr4 source code to inspect and review it. The source-code license does not allow redistribution, resale, sublicensing, or publishing the source or derivative distributions.

Can I customize the deployment?

Yes. The generated package is built around your deployment values, including domain configuration and Docker Compose settings.

Is Vectr4 self-hosted?

Yes. Vectr4 is designed to run on your own infrastructure, behind your own domain, with your deployment values.

Is this a subscription?

No. The €79 license is a one-time purchase with a perpetual fallback license. Updates and customer support are included for 12 months; renewal is optional and costs €49 for another 12 months.

Do I need Docker knowledge?

Basic Docker and Docker Compose familiarity helps. The delivery includes instructions, but you remain responsible for your own hosting.
